Fees

  • Tuition Fees

Most students elect to choose one of the following payment plans which offer a discount of 20% over my standard consultancy lesson rate.

45 minute weekly lesson One-to-one tuition, monthly standing order. £103.50 per month
1 Hour weekly lesson One-to-one tuition, monthly standing order. £138 per month

1 Hour One-to-one tuition, invoiced half-termly and paid in the first lesson of each half term. £46 per lesson

The fees for these payment plans are calculated based on a pupil receiving 36 lessons per year and are subject to a tuition agreement covering the Terms and Conditions and commitment to a regular weekly lesson time. They take into account the cost of resources, overheads, preparation time and continued professional development. The cost of sheet music and exam entry fees is not included in the tuition fee.

For those interested in regular lessons an initial evaluation session will be offered without charge where we can meet and discuss the different options.

See the Terms and Conditions for further information.

The standard lesson consultancy fee for ad-hoc lessons without a weekly commitment is £54 per hour.

  • Accompaniment Fees
    Exams

Exam accompaniment fees are linked to my current rates for tution and are calculated based on the exam time, rehearsal time and travel time.

I offer full exam accompaniment and recording service for digital exams using professional audio and video equipment with dual system audio. An additional fee of 1 hour's tution is charged to allow for the set up time and finalising of the video file.

See the FAQ's for further information.

    Festivals

When accompanying a music festival, fees are dependant on a number of factors including; the complexity of the works being performed, the duration of the festival class, rehearsal-time, travel costs etc. It is therefore not possible for me to give a quote without the specific details of the engagement. For music teachers needing multiple accompaniments I am able to offer a significantly lower fee. Please contact me for further details and an accurate quote.

See the FAQ's for further information.

    Diplomas

For diploma exams I have to tailor a quote to your specific needs as diploma programmes can vary significantly in the complexity of the piano accompaniments and the time needed for rehearsal. Please contact me and we can discuss your diploma programme.

See the FAQ's for further information.

    Professional

I am always delighted to work as an ensemble with other professional musicians. I naturally do not engage as an ensemble musician on a flat fee basis as it is entirely dependant on the repertoire, the nature of the work to be undertaken and whether we are looking to build a long term partnership. Contact me and we can discuss the opportunities.

See the FAQ's for further information.

  • Performance Fees
    Weddings, Functions, Concertos and Recitals

Rates for performances vary depending on the duration of the performance required, the complexity of the music and the nature of performance.

I try to keep fees competiative whilst reflecting the level of expertise that I bring to each performance. Please contact me and I can give you a tailored quote.

Fees may also be due to the Performing Rights Society if the music is still under copyright and the venue does not have its own agreement in place. If any part of the performance is to be recorded for any reason then you must inform me prior to the performance as again this can have copyright implications and additional fees will be due to the PRS. Music is still under copyright until 70 years after the composer's death.
